  • What makes Big Wave Swim School different from other swim schools?

    Our focus is on technical excellence and safety. Every lesson is structured to build real swimming competency—not just time in the water.

  • Do you prepare students for competitive swim teams?

    Yes. Our advanced levels are designed to help swimmers transition into local competitive swim programs with confidence and proper technique.

  • How do I register and purchase a pass?

    Create an account under Enroll Now and add a Big Wave Access fee to your cart first and then add the class, private lesson, or lap pass you wish to purchase.

Safety & Supervision

  • How does Big Wave Swim School prioritize safety?

    Safety is the foundation of every program. Lessons are led by trained instructors, class sizes are intentionally small, and swimmers progress only after demonstrating competency. Active supervision is maintained at all times.

  • Are instructors certified?

    Yes. All instructors are trained professionals with certifications in swim instruction and water safety, following consistent teaching standards.

Lesson Structure & Progression

  • How do I know what level my swimmer should be in?

    Swimmers are placed based on skill level, comfort, and water readiness—not age alone. Please see the lessons page for the prerequisites for each level.  

  • How do swimmers move up levels?

    Advancement is based on demonstrated skills, confidence, and control in the water. Progression is never rushed.

Policies FAQ

  • What are your health, illness, and hygiene requirements?

    To maintain a safe environment, swimmers must be in good health and follow all facility hygiene guidelines.  If a swimmer is experiencing symptoms of illness, fever, contagious conditions or any other condition that may pose a health or safety risk to others, we ask that they stay home.

  • Can parents observe lessons?

    Yes. Parents are welcome to observe from designated viewing areas to help maintain a focused learning environment.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    Debit and credit cards and payment from a bank account are accepted for payment. 

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    If you would like to stop your swimming lessons, pool pass or other recurring programming, we require notice be given by the 15th of the month prior to stopping billing to prevent additional charges.  You may submit your notice via the Parent Portal, via phone or email to info@bigwaveswim.com.  Refunds are not issued and your spot in a class will be released upon the date of cancellation.

  • Do you offer make-ups?

    Big Wave Swim School offers 1 makeup per month while actively enrolled in a class.  A make up token can be requested from management.  Once issued, a make up token can be used for a makeup lesson and can be booked in any open spot matching your student's current level up to 6 days in advance.


    Make up tokens expire 45 days after being issued and cannot be reissued if missed.


    You must remain actively enrolled to use your tokens, if you withdraw, all unused make up tokens expire on your drop date.


    Due to our small class sizes, make up availability is NOT GUARANTEED and refunds are not issued for missed lessons.
